How the numbers work

Sources: Stripe pricing. Treat the result as a directional estimate, and confirm current rates before you switch.

How does this calculator work?

It takes your monthly volume and average transaction size, works out the number of transactions, and applies Stripe's standard US card rate (2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction). It then applies the stablecoin processing fee you choose to the same volume and shows the difference each month and year.

Where does the card rate come from?

2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction is Stripe's published standard rate for US cards. International cards, currency conversion and some industries cost more, and large merchants often negotiate less, so treat it as a representative baseline.

What stablecoin fee should I use?

Stablecoin payment processors usually charge a percentage of volume with no fixed per-transaction fee. The calculator starts at 1% and lets you adjust it. Blockchain network fees are left out because they are usually under a cent per transaction on networks like Solana, Base and Polygon.

Is this what Plirin will charge?

No. Plirin's card and stablecoin payments are in development, and we will publish their pricing when they launch. This calculator compares card processing with stablecoin processing in general, so you can see whether the switch is worth it at your volume.
